10th Dan Grand Master Luke James - Doctorate PhD, is the Lead Coach & Ambassador of the Eclectic Self Protection Association, and has been training for 27 years. Competing at International Competitions with a variety of domestic honours, Luke has cemented himself as a leading martial arts and self defence expert, coaching an established list of students & clients since 2002 from children, teens and adults, to national and corporate organisations, and was previously sponsored by 'Nike' to deliver fitness and sports activities.

Luke is fully qualified to offer certified training in an eclectic streamlined style integrating the most effective systematic techniques from a variety of oriental martial art disciplines for self defence, personal security & optimum health.

With a 2:1 Bsc Hons Sport & Exercise Science, and a Certified YMCA Reps Level 3 Personal Trainer, the intensive study of new training methods in the fitness and martial arts industry furthers not only Luke’s own knowledge, but provides ESP students with effective up to date training methods. Luke’s understanding of correct sports science in bio-mechanics, physiology, psychology and anatomy is what sets ESP apart from other martial arts and self defence classes.

Grand Master Luke James's lineage and influences stem from Korea, Japan, China, Indonesia, Philippines, and India, and is testimonial to his own 'pursuit of excellence' and 'advanced coaching methods of eclecticism'.
