North London Self Defence Instructor Certification - Thursday 16th April 2026 I Eclectic Self Protection Association (ESPA)

The Eclectic Self Protection Associations' North London Self Defence Instructor Certification course was held in Finsbury Park, North London on the 16th April 2026.

Eclectic Self Protection were delighted to have one of our students Asa travel down from Tooting Broadway to do the Self Defence Instructor Certification.

Our student Asa has been helping out with Eclectic Self Protection's Online MMA & Self Defence Courses and also our You Tube Channel for the last several years, and has been progressing with his own training in personal protection and self defence, empowerment and self development, whilst improving confidence and self esteem.

In todays intensive session we covered 1) training and filming in Eclectic Self Protection and 2) Self Defence Instructor Certification, both stemming from China, Japan, Korea, India, Philippines and India. We managed to get 3hrs of Professional Eclectic Self Protection Filming Based Coaching done, as well as some pictures and all the content came out brilliantly.

We will be publishing some these Eclectic Self Protection techniques covered in this filming session both for our Online MMA & Self Defence Courses and also for our YouTube Channel.

*Part of Asa's assessment was also included in the Eclectic Self Protection Filming and Coaching session.

The second part of the session covered Asa Najair's Self Defence Instructor Certification training course, with all his previous training considered and assessed in conjunction to todays examination.

Asa was a dummy partner for the filming and training, and was tested on a variety of Eclectic Self Protection - Self Defence Systems techniques, as well as given a in-depth coaching tutorial on how to use them.

Asa was taken through: The Fence, Personal Space Management, Power Talking, Pre-Emptive Striking, Grappling Defence, Knife Awareness and Gun Defence combined with the theory of Self Protection, Reasonable Force and The UK Law in conjunction with The 5 Tenets Of Eclectic Self Protection.

The session concluded with Asa been presented with his ESPA Self Defence Instructor Certification and his ESPA Instructor Booklet, copyright and testimonial to The Eclectic Self Protection Association.

Asa is now a Fully Qualified & Certified Self Defence Instructor with The Eclectic Self Protection Association, and has been added to our Ambassador Registry Of Self Protection Instructors.

Asa is looking foward to both teaching and running self defence courses to the general public, and teaching his students privately across London.
